Qualifications: Qualifications: A certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program. A BA/BS is preferred. 5+ years of applicable substantive experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department. Prior experience with trademark enforcement, trademark litigation, and/or trademark prosecution is preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Explorer or Firefox web browsers, Adobe Acrobat, and be highly proficient in Word.

Job Description:
Paralegal
Duties: Monitor and perform review as well as analysis of possible trademark infringers using a brand protection software. Assist in IP enforcement matters. Work with foreign counsel related to foreign trademark applications, renewals, and maintenance, including POA and legalizations. Research, document, and prepare evidence for all types of trademark matters. Assist with reviewing of license agreements, letter of intent, labeling, and trademark/patent searches. Communicate with clients, internal legal team and outside counsel and respond to requests regarding trademark, copyright and other IP issues and questions. Oversee filing, prosecution and maintenance of local international trademark applications and registrations, including communicating directly with foreign counsel and docketing deadlines. Maintain internal records tracking key license terms, trademark filings/registrations, trademark marking guidelines, etc. Performs legal research including statutory and case law and drafts forms, research memoranda, proposed rules, orders and other documents. Takes primary responsibility for management of the contract database; maintain clause library. Assists with drafting and revising legal documents, including various commercial agreements, forms, regulatory documents, court documents and letters. Ability to complete day-to-day tasks while also exercising independent judgement, being resourceful, and incorporating a strategic level of thinking. Uphold a strict level of confidentiality. Strong attention to detail. Other duties as assigned.
