Job Description:
Our firm is seeking to hire an associate attorney practicing in the areas of civil litigation, trust litigation and estate planning, and bankruptcy. This will be an excellent opportunity for an individual hoping to gain great hands-on experience in aggressive advocacy and litigation in a variety of legal fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Associate attorney will be responsible for meeting with clients, reviewing the relevant case file and documents, conducting extensive legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and written discovery, and making court appearances. Candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have effective written and verbal communication skills, and have great attention to detail.
Qualifications:
J.D. (required)
Licensed to practice law in California (required)
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) (required)
At least three (3) years of litigation experience
Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently.
The candidate must be comfortable:
Providing advice and counsel and interacting with clients;
Drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery;
Researching state and federal law;
Drafting and arguing motions;
Taking and defending depositions; and
Appearing for hearings and conferences.
The firm offers an experience-based starting salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, medical and dental insurance, retirement benefits, and vacation, holiday and sick pay.
