Associate Attorney
Hall Underwood PLLC | Scottsdale, AZ, United States
Industry: Legal | Type: Full-Time
Posted Date: Nov 01, 2024
Practice Areas: Family Law, Litigation - Appellate, Litigation - General
Job Description:
We are a fast growing litigation firm looking for an ambitious self-starter to join our team. Our reputation as one of the top litigation firms in the valley has made us very popular, too popular in fact to meet client demand with current staffing capacity.
This particular position is available immediately and focuses primarily on family law, including occasional appellate work, so the applicant must have a personality suited for contentious litigation. You must be unafraid of the courtroom because you will go to court — immediately and often.
Previous experience is a definite plus, but we are more concerned with what you can do than what you have done before. We value aptitude above everything else, so recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We will happily train the right candidate. We are looking for an individual who is meticulous, obsessively attentive to detail, and conditioned to win. We approach our family law cases with the same diligence and tenacity that we would apply to a complex antitrust case.
In return, we offer industry-leading benefits, including above-market salary and unlimited incentives for performance and business development. Note that "performance" is not a euphemism for billable hours. We do not impose any billing requirements. Your performance will be measured by deliverables provided to the client. We also offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; unlimited paid time off (this is not a typo); 401(k) contributions; fitness club and automobile stipends, and a model that encourages our attorneys to work remotely as much as possible to promote work-life balance.
The ideal candidate would share our entrepreneurial values. We encourage and generously incentivize professional development. We offer unlimited growth opportunities and hope whoever we hire will quickly advance within the firm.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter briefly describing their personality, a resume, and a sample of their best and most persuasive legal writing. Recent graduates may provide an academic writing sample. All application materials should be consolidated into one (1) .pdf file.
Applicants who do not submit all required materials or who do not follow the submission instructions will not be considered. All applications will be maintained in the strictest confidence.
